First day of Preschool

Rylee had her first day of preschool today. I was so excited to find one for her - most wouldn’t take her because she wasn’t 3 on September 1st. I found one that seems just perfect, and although the girls are in different classes, they get to go together. Rylee loved her first day of preschool. She was so excited all morning - the 2 hours between the time she woke up and the time we left seemed so long for her. She even walked outside and go in the car 30 minutes before it was time to leave.

And for Jaycee it was a first day at her new preschool. We had to switch because the other one wasn’t working out. Jaycee seemed to love this new one though. She was super excited when I picked her up, telling me all about her day. She also showed me what she had been working on, and what’s funny is that the same thing her other preschool teacher had been obsessing about (and what had Jaycee in tears every day) this other teacher helped Jaycee fix in just one line of writing lower case “a”s. It’s amazing what a difference a teacher can make.

Rylee was a pro at preschool. Her enthusiasm showed as soon as we got there. She walked right in, said goodbye and went straight into the room doing her activity. I’m so glad she isn’t intimidated by new situations. She had a great time and absolutely loved it.
I think this preschool is really going to work out. it’s a fun environment, great teachers, and LDS based so they start with prayer, have scripture study time, and sing primary songs. I’m very excited about it.

Another First…
Last week Jaycee had her first singing performance. We almost didn’t make it because we all had the swine flu and were super sick, but fevers broke Thursday, we all felt good Friday, so we decided to go. (unfortunately we all got sick again Saturday - hope we didn’t give anyone at the performance the swine flu). Jaycee of course did fabulous. Even with missing 2 practices (one while in SC and one with the pig flu), she was one of the best singers. She did amazing and had a blast doing it. She is quite the performer.
