Yesterday the girls and I were just hanging around the house and playing outside. The Jaycee had an idea - “Let’s make a lemonade stand mama”. So Jaycee and Rylee made some lemonade, made a sign, and got some cups. I carried their table and chairs out to the sidewalk and here were the results:
Lorraine Rice, our long-time neighbor, saw us set up the stand and became the first customer!
When Jaycee was making the sign, I told her to charge 25 cents for the lemonade. She said “no mom, I’m charging 65 cents. She is quite the businesswoman.
There were 8 customers total. Lorraine, Mommy, Grandma, Daddy, Grandpa, Daddy, Linda from next door, and Daddy again. They probably could have gotten more customers had they not insisted on setting up in front of the house which is in a cul-de-sac at the top of a hill.
Good thing Daddy was thirsty from four-wheeling and cleaning the car! He just kept coming back for more!
The girls had a lot of fun and say they are going to do lots of lemonade stands in the summer. I will be looking forward to it.
